We are a property management company that specializes in affordable housing for senior citizens. A limited number of apartments are available for younger persons who are physically disabled and need the special design features of a unit designed for the mobility impaired. Call for eligibility requirements. Washington Square Co-op consists of 14 floors and has 238 one-bedroom apartments. It is minutes away from downtown Kalamazoo, with bus service at the front door. The building is located within walking distance of the farmers market, the Historical Library, grocery stores and only minutes away from the New Bronson Hospital. There is a showcase in the lobby that is staffed by volunteers. All apartments have been recently modernized with all new Energy Star appliances, new cabinets and a garbage disposal. There is a living room and dining area and a small pantry area off of the kitchen. They have nice sized bedrooms and full size bath with a tub and shower, and all bathrooms feature new cabinet & lighting. Each apartment is equipped with emergency pull cords. Rent is based on 30% of income. Utilities are included and basic cable TV is available for a minimal charge.
